ABSTRACT: This scholarly investigation delves into the intricacies surrounding the design and implementation of a computerised personnel appraisal system, with a specific focus on the esteemed Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu.  The practise of personnel appraisal has witnessed a remarkable evolution, transitioning from its humble origins as a localised appraisal system to a sophisticated and technologically advanced form.  In this era of technological advancement, the computer has transcended its traditional role and is now being employed for various tasks that were previously executed manually.  Henceforth, we shall delve into the realm of computer utilisation as a means to attain optimal efficacy in the realm of personnel evaluation. The researcher has undertaken the task of digitising the personnel appraisal information system.  The present study introduces a proposed computerised system that endeavours to address the exigencies, prerequisites, and specifications of the organization's personnel evaluation framework. The fundamental objective of this research endeavour is to attain the aforementioned goals by gathering both primary and secondary data through conducting face-to-face inquiries with business establishments and their personnel, serving as the subjects of the case study.  This endeavour is undertaken with the purpose of comprehensively examining the underlying factors contributing to various predicaments, with a specific focus on formulating a personnel evaluation framework within the context of the case study. Ultimately, the recommendations posit that the utilisation of computers in the execution of personnel appraisal tasks would yield expedited and streamlined compilation processes.
